Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center S.A. (“Company,” “SNFCC S.A.”), headquartered at 364, Syggrou Avenue, 176 74  Kallithea, Attica, provides the use of this website (class.snfcc.org) and of the software available on this website (“Platform”) to school teachers (“User(s),” “you”) for the purpose of providing online school programs by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (“SNFCC”). SNFCC S.A. is responsible for processing User data obtained through the Platform.

Platform User personal data processing is governed by these terms, by the applicable law on privacy, as well as by the relevant decisions, guidelines, and regulatory acts of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. The collection and processing of personal data by the Company is carried out in accordance with applicable European and Greek law.

In order to access SNFCC school programs to Users through the Platform, Users are required to register and create a personal account on the Platform. During User registration, SNFCC S.A. collects these User’s personal data: name, contact details, time of access, school unit and school section to which the User provides their services. Unless the User provides these data to SNFCC S.A., the User will not have access to SNFCC online school programs. In addition, SNFCC S.A. processes any personal data that the User may have posted to the Platform in the context of conducting a school program as well as any personal data that the User may share through the Platform’s contact form or via e-mail. All these personal data are obtained by SNFCC S.A. exclusively for the purpose of providing educational services to the User through SNFCC’s educational programs. The performance of the contract for the provision of educational services between SNFCC S.A. and the User, which is concluded by User registration on the Platform, is the legal basis for the processing described above. In addition to the above processing, SNFCC S.A. processes any personal data that may be contained in Users’ comments on the content and/or process of providing school programs, based on its legal interest to improve and develop the Platform.

User data will be stored in electronic form. The information you provide SNFCC S.A. will remain on the server of the contractor contracted by SNFCC S.A. for this purpose, which is located within the European Union and accessible only to persons who are under the control of SNFCC S.A. and only on the Company’s orders. Only duly authorized SNFCC S.A. personnel will have access to the above personal data, in accordance with applicable law. Unless specifically required by law, SNFCC S.A. will not share or disclose any User information except to share it with persons or entities that provide hosting and technical support services to the Platform or any other services to SNFCC S.A., which manage User data on behalf of and by order of SNFCC S.A., without any right to use them for their own benefit.

In case that SNFCC S.A. transfers User data to countries outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA), including the transfer of User data to third-party service providers based outside the EU/EEA, the Company will ensure that the country to which these User data are transferred provides an appropriate level of personal data protection, or that other appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the User’s personal data, including compliance with standard contractual terms and binding company rules. You may obtain a copy of any of the above agreements by submitting a request to the contact details listed below. We take extensive technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from unlawful processing, accidental or improper destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized sharing or access, and any other form of improper processing, as well as to prevent their unauthorized access, in accordance with applicable law.

User personal data pertaining to the implementation of the school programs will be kept for five (5) years from the day of User registration on the Platform, so that Users may be able to use the Platform for more school years. User comments regarding the content and/or process of conducting the school programs will be stored by SNFCC S.A. associated with User names for a period of six (6) months, so that it is possible to communicate with Users for further comments and exchange of views. After expiry of this period, these comments will be stored anonymously, for purposes of improving Platform services.

We are committed to providing you with reasonable access to your personal data at any time. In addition, you have the right to request that we update or correct the personal data we hold about you; also, if the conditions of the law are met, you have the right to request that we delete your personal data, that we restrict processing, to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to our processing of your personal data. Finally, if you consider that SNFCC S.A. violates the law on personal data protection, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Although SNFCC S.A. takes reasonable measures to protect against viruses and other harmful content, the nature of the Internet is such that it is impossible to ensure that your access to the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the Platform, its servers, or any emails sent by SNFCC do not contain viruses or other harmful content. SNFCC S.A. ensures that data you enter via the online form are encrypted and takes every appropriate measure to transfer and store your personal data securely.

SNFCC S.A. limits use of the Platform to adults over 18 years of ag. Furthermore, SNFCC S.A. intends not to collect personal data of minors who may access the Platform without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. However, since it is not possible to ensure/confirm this, any minor Users of the Platform who provide, through it, their personal data to SNFCC S.A. are obliged and are expected to have obtained the consent of their parents or legal guardians.
